By accessing or using the hackaton.one website and registering for our events, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Event Participation
Eligibility
Our hackathon events are open to individuals of all skill levels. Participants under 18 may require parental or guardian consent. We reserve the right to refuse entry at our discretion.
Registration
By registering for an event, you agree to provide accurate and complete information. Registration may be subject to capacity limits.
Conduct
All participants are expected to:
- Treat all participants, mentors, sponsors, and organizers with respect
- Refrain from any form of harassment, discrimination, or intimidation
- Follow venue rules and safety guidelines
- Not engage in any illegal activities during the event
- Respect the intellectual property of others
We reserve the right to remove any participant who violates these expectations without refund.
3. Intellectual Property
Your Projects
You retain full ownership of any projects, code, designs, and ideas you create during our hackathon events. hackaton.one does not claim any intellectual property rights over participant creations.
Our Content
The hackaton.one website, branding, logos, and original content are owned by hackaton.one. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
4. Photography and Media
By attending our events, you acknowledge that photographs, videos, and other media may be captured during the event. These may be used for promotional purposes on our website and social media channels. If you do not wish to be photographed, please notify our staff at the event.
5. Prizes and Awards
Prizes are awarded at the sole discretion of the judging panel. Judging criteria will be communicated before or at the start of each event. Prize distribution may be subject to applicable taxes and regulations. hackaton.one reserves the right to modify prize structures.
6. Liability
hackaton.one provides events and services "as is." We are not liable for:
- Loss or damage to personal property during events
- Technical issues, internet outages, or equipment failures
- Personal injury, except where caused by our negligence
- Interactions between participants outside our events
Participants attend events at their own risk and are encouraged to have appropriate personal insurance.
7. Cancellations and Refunds
If an event is cancelled by hackaton.one, registered participants will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to a future event. Participant cancellations and refund eligibility will be communicated in event-specific registration terms.
8. Sponsorship and Third Parties
Our events may include products, services, or tools provided by sponsors such as Trae AI. hackaton.one is not responsible for third-party products or services. Use of sponsor-provided tools during events is subject to those providers' own terms.
9. Modifications
We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Poland. Any disputes arising from these terms or our events will be subject to the jurisdiction of Polish courts.
